The members of BMFA offer the following products for export:
Natural Shrimp and Fish from the Bay of Bengal
Members of BMFA has catching Shrimp and Fish from the Bay of Bengal by their own Deep Sea
Fishing Factory vessel. These products are stored in the vessel with -180 c after catching and
processing on board.
REFLECTION
A) Frozen Shrimp
Name of the Products: Seawater head-on, shell on tail on (FWSO), Sea Water
headless shell on tail on (SWSO) by on board process.
Size: U/5, 6/8, 8/12, 13/15, 16/20, 26/30, 31/35, 36/40, 41/50, 51/60, 61/70,
71/90, 91/110 pieces per kg
Packing: 2 kg. blocks are wrapped with polythene sheet and packed in both
side wax coated laminated one flap duplex board non-toxic painted inner carton (EEC Standard)
and then 2 kgsX6 = 12 kgs net put into corrugated wax coated Master Carton.
B) Frozen Sea Water and Fresh Water Fish:
Sea Water Fish: Pomfret, Jewfish/Croker, Indian Salmon, Shad, Catfish,
Ribbonfish, Mullet, Mackerel, Cockup, Red Snapper, Cuttle fish, Eel etc. are processed in whole.
Packing:Block frozen fishes are wrapped with polythene sheet and then put into
an inner Carton. The small fishes are packed in 2 kgs x1 kg/0.5kg blocks or as desired by the
